ASSOCIATE PRODUCT MANAGER

Overview

(FULLY REMOTE) The Associate Product Manager will support the development and execution of our product roadmap, ensuring that our product offering meets the needs of customers, delivers exceptional value, and is consistent with the vision, values, and goals of DashLX.

What You’ll Do

The Associate Product Manager will improve our ability to make product-related decisions by collecting, synthesizing, and prioritizing feedback from many internal and external sources.

  • Work closely with the Director of Product to help develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy
  • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions
  • Support the product team in defining, documenting, and prioritizing product requirements (including participation in the UI/UX planning, design, and review processes)
  • Analyze product performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure cohesion and successful product delivery, e.g.,
  • Engineering/Data Science →  daily standups, define requirements, testing/QA
  • Customer Success → customer service, client onboarding, solution design
  • Go-to-Market → product demos, product marketing, requirements gathering
  • Contribute to company initiatives related to general operations / cross-functional teams

Who You Are

You are by nature a determined and resourceful problem solver. You are a team player, a self-starter, and someone who is motivated by having a meaningful impact on the success of your company. You are likely a generalist, seeking to advance your career in product management by gaining experience at a small, fast-paced, early-stage startup. Though you may not have a purely technical background, you are not intimidated by technology: you can learn, understand, and communicate about complex concepts.

  • Curious and analytical critical thinker, capable of assessing complex tradeoffs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (especially remotely)
  • Strong attention to detail (even while wearing multiple hats and switching between tasks)
  • Willing and able to function amidst ambiguity: resourceful, adaptable, and autonomous
  • Some technical background (e.g., any of: data modeling, data visualization, coding / app development / API integrations, automation, data science, statistical analysis, etc.)
  • Passionate about learning and continuous self-improvement and development
  • Access to a sustainable and productive home office / work environment (e.g., strong wifi)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Preferred

  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Strong SQL skills (BI experience is a big plus)
  • Data lover and a fan of emerging technology trends
  • Market research / customer research / stakeholder interview experience
  • Exposure to a structured software development environment / agile methodologies

Any of the following are interesting, so please be sure to mention:

  • You use wearable devices (tell us which ones!)
  • You’re an active participant in the outdoor industry (e.g., you’re a consumer of outdoor/fitness goods, services, content; you enjoy outdoors/fitness activities)
  • You have experience with (or an eye for) UI/UX/product design (e.g., Figma)
  • You have prior startup experience (and/or B2B SaaS experience)
  • You have prior product or project management experience
  • You have experience with marketing tech (particularly in e-commerce/retail)
  • You have experience developing high quality decks/presentations
  • You have uncanny meme/gif selection and timing on Slack
  • You are a fan of The Office (American version of course)
